# Lila

> Lila is a companion app for people living with PMOS (polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, formerly known as PCOS). It records symptoms, cycles and energy so people can walk into appointments with a clear record. It never diagnoses. The app is in development and the waitlist is open.

Key facts:
- In May 2026 an international consensus published in The Lancet renamed PCOS as PMOS. The diagnosis, criteria and treatment are unchanged.
- Lila is a companion and a record, not a doctor. Nothing on this site is medical advice.
- Lila does not set calorie or weight targets. Food and movement guidance is framed around energy, not weight loss.
- Articles are written by the Lila team and cite primary sources (The Lancet, Endocrine Society, ASRM, the 2023 international guideline).
