Privacy
Short version: we collect very little, we keep it in one private place, and we never sell it.
This page covers this website, lilaapp.org. The Lila app will have its own privacy policy before it launches.
What we collect
- If you join the waitlist: your email address, and the date and time you joined.
- If you pitch a piece of writing: your name, your email address, your idea, how you would like to be credited, and whether you have written before.
That is all. There are no accounts on this site, and at the time of writing we do not use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics.
Please keep health details to what you are comfortable sharing
You never need to tell us anything about your health to join the waitlist. A pitch can be personal, and that is welcome, but include only what you are happy for us to read.
How we use it
- Waitlist emails are used to tell you about Lila and its launch, and for nothing else. We send one confirmation when you join.
- Pitches are read by us so we can reply to you. Nothing is published without your agreement.
Where it is kept
Everything you submit goes into a private Google Sheet inside Lila's own Google Workspace account. Only the founder can open it. Confirmation emails are sent from that same account.
Who else is involved
- Google stores the sheet and sends our emails. Your browser also loads this site's fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google can see your IP address.
- Vercel hosts the website. Like any host, its servers log technical details such as your IP address when a page is loaded.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove yours, or until we have finished contacting the list about launch, after which the list is deleted. Pitches are kept while we are talking with you and removed if you ask.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted at any time. Email hello@lilaapp.org, or reply "unsubscribe" to any email from us, and we will act on it promptly and within 30 days.
Who this site is for
This website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please do not submit your details.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
